The dinner plate is American Traditional made in Canonsburg, Pa. That I bought at The Volunteers of America store last month for ninety cents each. The bullion bowls and saucers are Copeland Spode's Wicker Lane made in England bought from Goodwill. The chargers were bought at Goodwill (two dollars for all four).
A week ago Sunday I made little gingerbread pancakes for my Husband and myself. so I could use the gingerbread men plates that I found at the Goodwill right before Christmas before I put them away until next Christmas. I liked the idea of Valentines and gingerbread men for a hearty cold day breakfast.
Yesterday I made chicken parmigiana from the recipe that I saw on Rachel Ray last week. I thought a nice little Lady and the Tramp style pasta dinner would go beautifully with my heart shaped Valentine plates.
I found lots of spring plants to brighten up the kitchen at the grocery store and the Home depot.

I found an Irish lass at the Goodwill and placed her under a cloche on a lovely light green cake plate surrounded by small green plants that are for my fairy garden that I am working on.
My little girl cat Oreo has been keeping me company while I cook and play.
The snow is still out on the patio, and skies are still grey. But it is cheerful and cozy in my kitchen.
Breakfast anyone?
