Taking a cue from Dawn at "We Call It Junkin" I thought I might review 2013 in my life. Other than starting my blog in August my life did not have any real highs or any real lows. Just a steady keel to navigate by. Starting my blog has been the highlight of 2013. But by no means was it the whole thrust of my life during the year. And so now I say, "pictures please".
The seasonal year for me starts with Valentine's Day. In mid-January (right after the Christmas trees are put away) I haul out my Valentines Day stash and start decorating a tree.
This Year I will have a pink tree to decorate for Valentines Day.
I like to set a table for Valentines Day just for my husband and myself. But it seems we always have these pesky little visitors, they stare at us all during the meal. What do you do when a pesky little cherub invites himself to dinner? Answer - ignore him.
No sooner than those pesky little cherubs up and leave, the leprechauns invite themselves to dinner too.
Now we come to the bunnies. They are even more rude than the cherubs and the leprechauns put together. They are everywhere.
Shortly after that the ducks come wondering into the yard to find a place to mate.
The flowers start showing up around the patio.
A few weeks later the flowers are popping up in the yard.
As summer progresses the sun flowers start to flower.
Cosmos and marigolds dwell happily together.
The late summer table changes over to golds and oranges with images of sunflowers every where.
Come late August the Goodyear blimp passes over the house on the way to the stadium. FOOTBALL!!

No sooner than the pilgrims were packed away, reindeer started showing up in the china cabinets.Sunny days get scarce this time of the year - you have to soak up the rays where you find them.
Happy New Year to all!!
I will be on a blog vacation for a couple of weeks. See you soon!

Oh myyyyyyyy - I can't even begin to pick a favorite - I'd have to start at the first one and go right through. I'm so impressed with all your figural dishes - the easter eggs, the punkins, - or so many - I love them all. Your table settings make me want to try harder with mine (and shop more LOL). Everything is wonderful.
