Perhaps you may remember way back in April 2014 a post of mine called Here Comes Peter Cottontail.
I was so tickled to use the Daffodil and Bunny plates that I had found sometime before that at a garage sale. I loved those bunny plates. We continued to use those plates for Spring table settings right up until this year.
I started to sell off my tablescaping stash last year. Most of my Fall dinnerware and a bit of the Christmas has already been sold. All of my Easter plates are now gone with the exception of my cabbage plates and egg shaped dessert plates that I intend to keep. I still have so much to sell and yes each item I sell makes me a bit sad as I pack them up and ship them out.
Enough of that... Lets take a look at Peter Cottontail's tablescape. (Spoiler alert - Lots of pictures). There was a bounty of bunnies on this happy Easter table setting.
There were small bunnies
There were garden bunnies.
There were fat bunnies.
There were long and skinny bunnies.
There were white bunnies and brown bunnies.
There was a bunny on a basket.
And a bunny in a cage.
Even a bunny Peter Cottontail Tea Set
There were many Clothtique types of bunnies across the tablescape doing all kinds of Easter bunny chores.
Most of all a tablescape is about the dinnerware, glassware, and flatware.
Yes I am sad that I will not ever set another table with these happy festive bunny plates but it is so very good to know they are going to a new home with young children. They are making memories for another family this Easter Season.
Hop Along Mr. Cottontail, Hop along that long and winding Bunny Trail. Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Happy Easter to all........
This sounds like a goodbye to tablescaping for you, Candy; I have really enjoyed your ever so unique and creative tables throughout the years.

Your tablescape is quite lovely. Those dishes are different and I can understand why you will miss them. You have done amazing work here.
ReplyDeleteYour post gives pain in my heart. It's hard to let go things. The bunnies are adorable. Missed you in blogland. Thank you for stopping by to leave a comment for my v-day table. Hope you had a lovely Easter. Love Sujatha:)
ReplyDeleteYou had a wonderful collection of sweet bunnies. I thin out my dish storage and holiday decorative stuff every so often. It's hard to make the decision of what to keep and what to let go.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhh I am crying as I read this - I can't bear that you are getting rid of dishes - no no no. But more happy memories for another family is a nice thing too. I just adore what all of your bunnies are doing on the table and all the poses and cute accessories. You have such a wonderful way of decorating and arranging. The bunny painting easter eggs was one of my favorites - if I had to pick - but so many are so cute. The Peter Rabbit tea set is simply too darling. Wonderful wonderful wonderful - all of it!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful way to say someone a good bye. You have decorated the table so nicely and we can see your efforts in it. Happy Easter and Stay blessed
ReplyDeleteLovely. I hope all is well, Candy.
ReplyDeleteI jumped over here after I saw your comment on Dawn's blog post. I'm sorry to hear you are letting go of your tablescaping stash. It was always a treat to see your tables. I'm hoping to get back into the hobby soon; life has gotten in the way since April, but I'm anxious to do some tables again. Take care, Candy. I hope all is well. Come by The Magic Hutch sometime and say "hi". I'd love to hear from you!
