Santa Claus Is Coming To Town - A Red and White Tablescape

Three Days Til Christmas - Diary of a Christmas Countdown

December 22, 2013

The song "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" was written by John Frederick Coots and Haven Gillespie and first sung on Eddie Cantor's radio show in 1934 according to Wikipedia.
 Christmas red and white tablescape

You better watch out.
You better not cry.
 Christmas red and white tablescape
You better not pout .
I'm telling you why.
Santa's sleigh
Santa Clause is coming to town!

He's making a list.
Checking it twice.

He sees you when you're sleeping.
He knows when you're awake.

He knows when you've been bad or good.
So be good for goodness sake.

The plates are from Marc's, the flatware was bought after Christmas last year at the World Market.  The milk glass was bought at a consignment shop.

In case you are wondering what is on the back shelf..... It's Christmas carolers, did you hear them singing Santa Claus is Coming to Town right along with you...?. The carolers were bought through the years at various thrift stores and garage sales.

Chritmas carolers

Santa,  the sleigh,  the reindeer,  the sweater trees, the candle holders and candles are all from Marc's (my favorite closeout store ever)

The little tree in the sleigh is from Home Depot.

 Have a wonderful Christmas!

  3. Oh I've been waiting for another song - this is perfect - I love the snowflake plates - and the carolers and santa - and the flatware (is there such a thing as round ware?) everything is fabulous - and I'll be singing that cute song all evening while I pack up tins of baked goods to give to friends and family.

  7. When I was a little girl, our Blue Bird troop used to carol at the Cerebral Palsey Center each Christmas. One year I had a solo for the verse of Santa Claus is Coming to Town. I never forgot it: "I just got back from a long long trip, along the Milky Way. I stopped off at the North Pole to see what I could see. I called on dear old Santa Claus to see what he would say. He gave me a message to bring to you today."....Oh, you better watch out..... I love your red and white table, and your collection of carolers is outstanding! Thanks for inviting us for a peek, and Merry Christmas! Cherry Kay
