A Gingerbread Christmas

12-31-14

Throughout Christmas week the breakfast table has been peopled with gingerbread men and friends.  The table changed day to day with different plates, glasses, and silverware,  but the theme throughout the week was gingerbread men.  Everything used for the gingerbread tables was thrifted except the flatware.

This is a selection of pictures as the gingerbread tables evolved:

We changed out the plates and table cloth at some time during the week.

We changed out the plates to a gingerbread house pattern a couple of days ago.

All of the nutcrackers have gone into formation on the dining room windowsill to stand guard for New Years Eve in case things get out of hand after the champagne.

  2. Woweee - what fun. I love the gingerbread folks - and dishes. You have the cutest things. I love the gingerbread plates too. It is the perfect table for cookies and tea or for a wonderful dinner followed by gingerbread cookies - though it might be hard to eat them in front of all their friends. A sweet sweet table.
