I scrounged through my tablecloths and found an aqua beauty made by Lenox. The label says American by Design (and made in China). It looks like silk but it is polyester. I bought it marked down to $12.00 at Marshall's (or maybe Tuesday Morning) a while back. The napkins are from the VOA for 39 cents each and almost a perfect match in color to the tablecloth.
The aqua wine glasses and water glasses are from Marc's our local closeout store for 99 cents each. The little aqua votive holders as well as the aqua owls came from Marc's too.
There are a lot of other thrift store finds on the table, like the white embossed pear salad plates, The pitcher, pretty much, if it's white, it's thrifted.
My brother Don made this lovely stained glass window sun catcher for our mother many years ago.
Isn't it lovely? My brother does wonderful work with stained glass. He had made me one made of beautiful red roses. I hang it in the dining room window during the winter. It looks so pretty with all of the white snow in the background behind it.

You have met the challenge with the beautiful white and aqua colors. I also love owls and your lovely collection of owls in white on the table and the aqua one on the buffet are the perfect touch. My tablescape this week has white owls used for the white challenge! Your workhorse white china with the orchard embossing is wonderful for fall for it has all the fruits of harvest time. I especially enjoyed viewing the stained glass by your brother for the bird in the blue background is gorgeous! Have a happy fall week!

Although green is my favorite color, my favorite color for tablescapes is aqua...your table is gorgeous, Candy! Your stemware is such a wonderful shade of aqua.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week...
Very impressive! It's simple elegance.

Aqua and white...score! Just beautiful...love it.
ReplyDeleteThis beautiful, Candy! I love the color combination and your owls, especially, the snowy ones! I was really drawn to the stained glass that you brother made. My sister makes it, too!! Your white china has such great textures on all of the pieces. I want to follow you around, when you are "thrifting"!!
ReplyDeleteLove your aqua & white table! Your dishes are beautiful! You set a fabulous table!
ReplyDeleteBlessings My Friend,
When I saw the thumb in my blog I though "uh-oh it's agains some rule! Aqua at Autumn? uh-oh must be against some rule" ahahahah
ReplyDeleteBut I'm absolutely delighted with it and the lovely items you see to have in store. So elegant! I really love this table!!!
Blessful!
Every thing is fabulous - I love the white with just one color. I've seen so many pretty combinations though I doubt that I have any one color that I could use to make a whole table setting of white and one color. I have lots of white though.
ReplyDeleteCandy, I am so impressed right now, you nailed this challenge. Love the combo of white and turquoise, and you added those cute fall elements that worked perfectly and made this seasonal! Love it! xo
ReplyDeleteI love white and aqua. Such a pretty combination.
ReplyDeleteCandy, I don't think I have anything aqua. I've got to find some aqua tablescaping items. This is beautiful. I love your white china, and the embossed fruit on it is perfect for this time of the year. I can't believe you even have aqua colored owls! Yep, I'm going to be on a search for aqua. You met this challenge beautifully. laurie
ReplyDeleteWow, I love the white and aqua combo. And those owls are too stinkin cute! My house door is painted aqua (actually called Blue Spa). Thanks for following, and I followed you back.

ReplyDeleteThe aqua and white is a joy and you've done a great job making it just right for fall.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean! I had to change my plan too as the plates had a gold trim! I love the aqua and white together. You managed to take a summery combo and turn it into Fall. You did a beautiful job! Thanks for taking and fully embracing the rules!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at aqua! That is my favorite color and it looks wonderful with the baby boo pumpkins! Great job! I see you even got kudos from Kathleen herself! She's a stickler! I love what you did with your side board too!
