I love everything, and it was so much fun opening it. I felt like it was Christmas. I can't wait to use all of it in a tablescape. Thank you so much.
Your tablescape is really such a fun back-to-school table. I love the little, boy, girl, and teachers at the desk. I also really like that ruler bookshelf. What perfect accessories for a b-t-s table. You even have apple napkin rings for the occasion. I remember milk and cookies and quiet time, when we'd lie down on our mats just after sipping our little cartons of 2% milk and munching on a cookie! Then, it would be time for music or art or a story...ah, what splendid and sweet times those were. Thanks so much for inspiring us to treasure our childhood with your charming treasures here today.

Happy Tuesday!

PoppyPoppyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08980323586402386609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3761829894985740256.post-39212951757694704362014-09-07T17:46:00.870-07:002014-09-07T17:46:00.870-07:00Oh Candy, you outdid yourself with this awesome ta...Oh Candy, you outdid yourself with this awesome tablescape for back to school! They look so real! Your theme is adorable, and your table elements remind us so much of school. :-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14921234463617674458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3761829894985740256.post-81656500664608094792014-09-04T18:14:37.869-07:002014-09-04T18:14:37.869-07:00Oh, Candy, what wonderful memories you've brou...Oh, Candy, what wonderful memories you've brought back with this tablescape & your little stories. I went to first grade in a one room school - there were two of us in first grade, me and the teacher's daughter. We sat at a round table with little chairs and once a week we got to wash the table - then we stood on paper towels on the table and "skated" it dry. The "big kids" got to have desks and I wanted one too.

The next two years I was home schooled in Alaska (we called it Correspondence School back then) so we sat at our little table in the kitchen to do our schooling.

The checks on the plates remind me of school dresses - and the colors of the dishes are perfect for your table. I love the apple napkin rings (WA is famous for apples, so lots of apple stuff going on here too) and the bright apple bowls.

A wonderful table setting, and once again I think it is my favorite. Thanks for sharing your hard work and cute items.
JoAnn ( Scene Through My Eyes)https://www.blogger.com/profile/12621061028973446378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3761829894985740256.post-59934636261463916122014-09-03T17:28:07.999-07:002014-09-03T17:28:07.999-07:00Candy, this is so cute! I love the china, all the accoutrements, but especially those cute school children.

To answer your question, we sat alphabetically, and the boys sat with the girls, not apart. In first grade we had large work tables that I actually like better than our desks, but I remember thinking how grown up the single desks were! ;-)

xo

Sheila:-)The Quintessential Magpiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04010105595059019883noreply@blogger.com
